Koh Samui welcomes new luxury resort

1 Aug 2011

The new and exclusive Akatsuki Resort has opened for business and is another premium accommodation and event venue choice for Koh Samui visitors. The resort is sited on the scenic and less busy coast of the island and offers a pleasing blend of Japanese Zen design and Thai nature.

The Akatsuki is on Lipa Noi Beach and faces across a serene lagoon to rock islands. Guests enter the resort via a central portal and the accommodation, which comprises five unique suites and amenity pavilions, has been built on either side of infinity pools which cascade down from the entry.

The four communal pavilions are the Living, the Theatre and the Dining, and one beside the pool. The Theatre has been equipped with state-of-the-art audio and visual systems suitable for both corporate meetings and leisure use.

The Akatsuki’s onsite A-Spa offers a full range of rejuvenating treatments and massages for body and soul. Conde Nast Traveller has already rated Samui’s newest five-star property as super chic and exclusive and says that Akatsuki has successfully combined the concept of an upmarket resort with the comforts of a private residence.

The Akatsuki is capable of accommodating a maximum of 17 guests at any one time and is only available for private use to host events such as wedding receptions, personal milestone parties, business seminars and product launches.

As well as the spa and ambient surroundings, people staying here can make use of four pools and take advantage of the Akatsuki’s personal guide, chef, butler and chauffeur.
