Samui has a robust property industry on account of its popularity as a part time island home. There are plenty of villas on offer and more than two dozen property agencies operating on the island. Each has a large portfolio of real estate and websites so you can view before you arrive.
There is a good infrastructure and many professional real estate agents, often managed by foreigners, to meet expat expectations. We do, however, suggest you vet your property agency and lawyer carefully as there are some cowboys out there and the law in Thailand seems lets them get away with it.
