Guesthouses on Samui
Samui has a wide range of guesthouses, offering plenty of guesthouses, at reasonable prices. There is plenty to choose from, and especially at Chaweng and Lamai it is easy to stroll around until you find somewhere that suits your taste and budget. At these locations, bear in mind of course that they are very popular and the guesthouses nearest to the main nightlife tend to be noisier.
The beaches at Mae Nam and Choeng Mon tend to be quieter, but it is possible to find some peace and tranquillity all over the island, with some great beachside locations too. Since Samui has gone very upmarket you shouldn’t expect guesthouses right on the beach without paying more than a backpacker budget might afford, but if you don’t insist on staying at Chaweng or Lamai you’ll have more luck.
